Drs. Leou, Joseph, Hobbs, John Yam, and Garrett Yam are all active members in good standing at the Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue. Dr. Mitra is on the active staff of Evergreen Hospital Medical Center in Kirkland. All our doctors are members of the King County Medical Society.

Norman H. Leou, M.D.
Dr. Leou was born in Taipei, Taiwan. He his family moved to the southern United States when he was 11 years old. He received his medical education from the University of Arkansas for Medical Science in 1992. Dr. Leou received and completed his Internal Medicine training at Oregon Health Sciences University. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Leou is fluent in English, Mandarin and Taiwanese. In his leisure time, he enjoys all sports and playing classical music on his 215-year-old violin.

Dr. Leou is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Jackline S. Joseph, M.D.
Dr. Joseph was born in Cairo, Egypt. She received her M.D. degree from Cairo University in Egypt. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Rush Presbyterian St. Luke Medical Center / Westlake Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Joseph is fluent in English and Arabic. In her leisure time she enjoys jogging and reading novels.

Dr. Joseph is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Garrett P. Yam, M.D.
Garrett joined Interlake Medical Center, PLLC  in July 2009 after medical school and residency in Chicago.

Garrett was born in Syracuse, N.Y. He grew up in Bellevue and graduated from Newport High School where he was one of the top varsity swimmers. He completed pre-med at the University of Washington and obtained his M.D. degree from the Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine in Chicago. He went on to complete a four year intensive combined residency program in both internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Illinois. He is board-certified in both Internal Medicine and Pediatrics.

Dr. Garrett Yam is certified by both the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American board of Pediatrics.

John I. Yam, M.D.
Born in China and educated in Hong Kong, Dr. Yam pursued postgraduate studies at the State University of New York at Syracuse, the University of British Columbia, and UCLA.

He was a past president of the King County Academy of Family Physicians, Washington State Chinese Physicians, and a board member of Regence Blue Shield. He is an affiliate professor at the Seattle University University advanced nurse practitioner program.

Dr. John Yam enjoys working and treats his patients as if they are his relatives. In his spare moments he enjoys researches on medical topics, tending to his manicured yard, and singing to the tune of his old guitar, and drumming. After the pandemic, he’ll hope to spend more time with close family members (and grandkids!), resume his passions in ballroom dancing and traveling.

Dr. Yam is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Medicine and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Dr. Yam is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and was certified 5 times by the American Board of Family Medicine.

He was voted by the National Consumer Advisory Board as America’s Best Physicians 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. 

Srobona Mitra, M.D.
Dr. Mitra was born in India. She received her medical education from Calcutta National Medical Institute. Dr. Mitra is a graduate of Central Washington Family Medicine program of the University of Washington, and she is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine and is on the active staff of Evergreen Hospital Medical Center in Kirkland. She is fluent in English, Hindi, and Bengali. In her leisure time she tries out new recipes and enjoys listening to music.
